He’s also the type who hops over to Panama to study post-harvest like it’s extra credit, then comes home and shares the homework with the rest of the community.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eWe tasted the Marshell cultivar in 2025 through David Flores. The variety is still the 'new kid' in Cajamarca; one weird tree that survived when its neighbors tapped out, got propagated, and named after the founding family. Genetic nerds (we love them) are still arguing with themselves, Cup of Excellence called it an \"unidentified Bourbon mutation\", later testing shrugged toward Catimorish or Costa Rica 95... but nobody’s arguing with the results. Tougher in the field, generous on the tree, and in the cup it goes sweet, floral, and fruit-forward: caramel, stone fruit, citrus, with the occasional tropical or berry cameo depending on who grew it and how they processed it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eOn the table, these lots hit heavier and fuller than we expected, and we vibed with that immediately.
